The LK 322 CoolUnit is a valve combination designed to utilise the cooling available in geothermal heat pump systems. By directing the brine from the collector hose to a fan coil, the system can provide natural cooling from the ground. During summer operation, the borehole is also recharged, helping to improve heat pump performance.
The CoolUnit includes a non-return valve to ensure the liquid flows in the correct direction when used with a shunt group and its own circulation pump. It has two 1"–1¼" male thread connections for the collector pipe and two ¾" male thread ball valves for connection to the convector pipe. The valve body is brass, with EPDM seals, and the unit is rated for a maximum working pressure of 6 bar and a working temperature range of -20°C to 80°C.
