Firepower at Futurebuild

Monday 21st February, 2022

We are joining MCS at Futurebuild on their stand in the Future Installer area to help to explain how biomass is still an option for heating rural homes off the gas grid.

From Tuesday March 1st to Thursday the 3rd we will be joining MCS at Futurebuild in the Future Installer area on stand A50.

MCS stands for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme - via their schemes they help to ensure consistent quality of installations and products. We're proud to be alongside not only MCS representatives, but also experts in heat pumps from Thermal Earth, Groundtherm and Matrix Energy Solutions, PV and storage from AceOn and Viridian, as well as Solar Energy UK. It's good to have such a broad range of knowledge on the single stand because then we're all more likely to be of use to the visitors.

The RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) comes to an end at the end of March and will be replaced by the Boiler Upgrade Scheme so I am sure that people will be curious as to how that is different and want to know about the various approaches that are available to them.

Of course "The best type of heating is no heating" so we will also be telling people about the benefits of improving insulation and making airtightness upgrades before they switch their heating system - because that will reduce their energy demand regardless of the type of heating they use.

Do pop down to say hello to us at Stand A50.
