We're Hiring: Renewable Heating Tech Support

Friday 16th July, 2021

We have a permanent tech support position available in Renewable heating.

9am 5:30pm

Starting salary £25,000 - £28,000 depending on knowledge and experience.

You’ll be working as a technical advisor supporting our network of renewable heating dealers and engineers that we work with across the UK. This is a good role for someone with heating engineer experience who is now keen to apply their skills to an office-based role, but also suited to someone with great people skills and a good phone manner who is quick to learn. You’ll be working within a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful team.

Role Overview

Experience & Skills

We can show and teach you what you need to know but character, intelligence and attitude is the key thing you’ll need to bring with you.

The brands we work with will offer product-specific training and we’d book you in for related industry training and DPC as needed.

What's on Offer

A family-run business, based in Devon, we supply the largest range of MCS registered wood pellet boilers in the UK, Ecodesign compliant wood boiler stoves, thermal stores and hydraulic parts to our UK-wide network of partners. We are responsible for a significant proportion of the MCS grant-aided domestic wood pellet heating installations, and have a long history in wood heating with a reputation for great service that we like to follow through on. Our systems are robust and designed to maintain quality. You join us as we’re starting to add heat pumps and MVHR systems to the mix so you’ll be part of this new aspect to what we offer.

We’re a friendly team to work with, like to do the job right, and like to support each other in our jobs and on a personal basis too.

Sustainability is important to us. We’ve recently added in Carbon Auditing to our accounts procedure and we’re now proudly an Operationally Carbon Neutral company. Adopting Ecodesign legislation a year ahead of schedule we will now look to further reducing the particulate emissions of the wood appliances we supply, and we’re moving into heat pumps to help our network further reduce the UK’s domestic heating carbon emissions.

At our warehouse we’re implementing the result of a habitat survey to protect and enhance the local biodiversity.

Location & details

We have an office in Totnes, Devon where you would be working from. Many of our staff work from home for some or all of the time and, once you have the necessary experience, this may well be an option.
