RHI News Jan 2018

Changes have been announced to the non-domestic RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) which look likely to improve the scheme.

Drying of fuel will no longer be an eligible heat use unless the installation is replacing existing fossil fuel, private swimming pools are out and installations which basically just heat a single house are likewise ineligible. These changes will hopefully make the remaining years more effective and avoid Irish-style scandal.

Update - May 2022: The Boiler Upgrade Scheme has now replaced the RHI grant scheme. This is a £5000 upfront grant made to eligible installations.
