Position: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic individual to support our network of renewable heating engineers and dealers across the UK. This role combines sales and technical support, requiring knowledge of heating systems and a knack for building trusted relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Assist engineers and dealers with technical inquiries, product specifications, and troubleshooting.
  • Sales Support: Prepare and send quotes, create orders, and process payments. Engage with homeowners to discuss renewable heating options, perform heat load calculations, and occasionally design entire heating systems.
  • System Design: Review and produce heating system designs, providing support and training as necessary.
  • Software Assistance: Help engineers access and configure software for wood pellet boilers, heat pumps, and other appliances.
  • Problem Resolution: Diagnose and investigate issues via phone and email, with occasional site visits.
  • Trade Shows: Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions, including occasional weekends.

Experience & Skills:

  • Essential:
    • Friendly demeanor and excellent relationship-building skills.
    • Experience with either domestic heating systems, wood stove systems, and/or heating engineering.
    • Proficiency with computers.
  • Desirable:
    • Sales experience.
    • Technical support experience.
    • Knowledge of wood stoves, heat pumps, biomass boilers, MVHR systems, and/or conventional boilers.
    • Willingness to undertake product-specific and industry-related training.

Benefits:

  • Location: Initial training will be based in Devon, near Totnes. Remote work or independent office arrangements thereafter.
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
  • Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank and national holidays) plus 2 "duvet days" for ad-hoc time off.
  • Pension Scheme: Available.
  • Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.
